2018 Mission Integration Award Winners

Congratulations to the Mission Integration Award Winners!

The Association for Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities is proud to announce the winners of its 2018 ASACCU Best Practices for Mission Integration

In the category of Dean of Students, Residence Life and Related, the winner is Assumption College, for its living-learning community called Sophia.  The year-long program for sophomores involves course work, reflection and an international immersion experience designed to assist students in their discernment of vocation.

In the category of Diversity and Inclusion there are two winners.  Both Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon,  and Briar Cliff University are recognized for the implementation of "The Human Library" on their respective campuses. 

Finally, in the category of Student Activities, Leadership and Related, the winner is Marian University, for their program titled the Franciscan Vocation Initiative.  Through programs, volunteering and a medical mission trip, the program develops within students seeking health care professions and integrated sense of mission and vocation. 

The winners of this year's awards will be recognized at the Association's annual conference to be held on the campus of the University of San Diego, July 17-20.

The Mission Integration Steering Committee wishes to acknowledge the depth and quality of the programs submitted for the awards.  In all 30 programs were submitted from 28 different institutions.
