St. Norbert College, a thriving, nationally ranked Catholic liberal arts college known for its academic excellence, vibrant campus life, and leadership and service opportunities seeks its next senior student affairs officer. Situated on an attractive, riverside campus in De Pere, Wisconsin, a community contiguous with the city of Green Bay, St. Norbert is the only college in the world sponsored by the Norbertines, a Catholic order devoted to community, education, and serving the needs of others. The VPSA/DSE provides senior level, strategic leadership to design and deliver a comprehensive suite of initiatives, programs and services to ensure a high quality and vibrant student life experience. The VPSA/DSE serves as a member of the President’s cabinet, is a voice for students, and is deeply engaged in all aspects of organizational planning toward advancing the mission and objectives of the college, including meeting the needs of all students to foster an inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to flourish.

The VPSA/DSE is primarily responsible for campus wide initiatives in student life, student retention, student engagement, and programmatic efforts that foster an inclusive and collaborative environment. The VPSA/DSE is a key partner with the Vice President for Academic Affairs in advancing St. Norbert College’s effort to promote the intentional integration of curricular and co-curricular experiences—experiences expressly designed to enrich student learning; build and maintain strong college and student cohort identities; and advance campus retention and graduation goals. The VPSA/DSE will also partner closely with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Communications to ensure careful alignment of campus recruitment and retention models. The VPSA/DSE will be a campus wide thought-leader and collaborator on best practices that foster a culture of student achievement; cultivate students’ sense of belonging and self-confidence; and integrate approaches that reinforce the interdependence of students’ academic, social, personal, professional, and spiritual development.

The VPSA/DSE will oversee and support a portfolio that includes: Residential Education and Housing; Leadership, Student Engagement, and First-Year Experience; Multicultural Student Services; Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center; Counseling and Psychological Services; Career and Professional Development; Emmaus Center for Spiritual Life and Vocation; Health Services; Student Judicial Affairs; Sturzl Center for Community Service & Learning; and Campus Safety. The VPSA/DSE will also have a seamless relationship with the critical units across the college, including: Academic Support Services, academic centers, Athletics, Bursar, Financial Aid, Honors Program, Registrar, St. Norbert College Parish, Study Abroad, etc.
