Carroll College, an independent, Catholic, diocesan, liberal arts college is seeking a full-time Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Residential Life & Housing. The Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Residential Life & Housing provides dynamic and visionary leadership for the Residential Life & Housing program at Carroll College, promoting a safe and vibrant living and learning environment. Under the leadership and direction of the Dean of Students & Retention, the Assistant Dean/Director of Residential Life & Housing supports student success and holistic formation while promoting active student engagement within the Carroll College residential community. This position is the deputy leader for the Division of Student Life and serves as part of the on-call rotation. The Assistant Dean serves as the chief student conduct officer, and may assist with Title IX investigations when requested by the Title IX Coordinator(s). This position has some weekend and evening commitments.

Successful candidates will possess a Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or related field; a minimum of five years of progressive experience in student affairs with at least three years of leadership responsibility in Residential Life and/or Housing. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to the Carroll College mission and to student success; proven ability to effectively communicate with various constituency groups; demonstrated ability to work interdependently and take initiative and provide leadership in developing and completing projects to meet deadlines; ability to manage budgets, and a solid knowledge of student development theories and application. Prefer experience with housing software and student information systems (Carroll College utilizes Colleague Ellucian products and is implementing eRezLife software), student conduct procedures and conflict mediation, and supervision of student and/or professional staff. While not required, experience and knowledge with Colleague is preferred, as this position will manage modules and screens related to housing.
